The New Standard for Fashion in Detroit.

Hello,

I’m Robert Hurse, owner of The Standard Detroit. I would first like to say thank you for checking us out!

I truly appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.

A little about myself. I got started by a volunteer at local fashion shows until some very kind women took me under her wing and gave me my very first paid gig as a stylist. She mentored me and showed me the ropes I assisted her on her projects and started gaining my own clientele.

From there freelance styling leads me to Teen Vogue Fashion U. Seminars being taught by the best of the best in business. Betsy, Michael Kors, Linda Fargo. I manage to land myself in some publications for my style and meet Editor In Chief Amy Astley.

New York was tough, I was young so I came back home returning to school and that’s when The Standard Detroit was born.

The Standard Detroit goal is to provide Detroit with a fashion-forward destination, a place where the fashionably challenged and fashionistas become one. The Standard provides a comfortable environment where clients submerge themselves in fashion – the latest trends and pieces over a nice glass of wine. We also feature a variety of local artisans from designers, painters, jewelry makers, etc.
